Trades Trail dates are 15th and 16th April held around Central West and Orange, NSW, Australia. This is promising to be a illustrious gathering of some remarkably talented and internationally renowned minds. The congress is the first international Luthier and Archetier gathering in the southern hemisphere. It is hoped that the congress will inspire, inform, connect and maintain the creativity and professionalism of all participants.
Aims of ALAC
- To bring together professional instrument and bow makers to encourage the sharing of ideas and techniques, the latest products and processes available, whilst maintaining the integrity of the craft, its history and the support of future generations of instrument and bow makers.
- To provide an opportunity through the workshop, where the process of new making, repairing and restoring of instruments and bows and tonal set up may be undertaken in a supervised and shared manner where all present can learn from each other whilst bringing to the forum the latest developments in making and repair practice to the benefit of all.
- To provide assurance that the public will receive the highest standards of making and maintenance of their instrument and bow and customer service regardless of where they may reside in the world.
